In my freshman year with the help of my journalism teacher, classmates, and special visits from staff members of popular newspapers, I've accomplished writing two great articles. These articles were carefully constructed along with a whole planning pitch, interviewing, and peer revision. I based my articles on events that occurred in my school, Curtis High School from the process of Curtis becoming a Community School, to the success of The Curtis Girls Varsity Basketball team. BBMA: Best Male Artist

The Billboard Music Awards 2012 aired on Sunday night, and there has been a lot of talk of how Lil Wayne won Best Male Artist. Nothing against Lil Wayne, but many were surprised he won especially because he was going up against artists like Justin Bieber, Drake, Chris Brown, and Bruno Mars. Do you think Lil Wayne deserved to win? If not, who do you think should have won?

New York Rangers vs. New Jersey Devils

The New York Rangers advance to the third round of playoffs and they are now going against The New Jersey Devils, which is a popular competition. This rivalry has taken its way to the Stanley Cup playoffs and so far its been back in fourth. The back to back games have been going both ways. With three games completed, The Rangers have a lead in the series, 2-1. With game four tonight, will the Rangers gain the upper hand or will the Devils make a comeback and tie the series?

New York Rangers- 2012 Stanley Cup Playoffs

Yet again the New York Rangers find themselves, in a tough game seven situation. Last night, The Washington Capitals tied the series 3-3, similar to the same situation that happened in The Rangers first round of playoffs. Each game so far with the Capitols has been neck and neck, so there is no expected outcome out game seven. Capital and Ranger fans have been at the edge of their seats as most of the games resulted in victories in over time. But it all comes down to Saturday night, when the winner will be decided for the second round of playoffs in a game seven tie breaker.
